The poster collection of the ULB Düsseldorf comprises almost 2000 posters and has the following thematic focuses:
- „Parole der Woche – Parteiamtliche Wandzeitung der NSDAP“ - 268 pieces, published December 1937 to February 1943 (with 52 issues per year)
- Spielpläne der Düsseldorfer Theater („Opernhaus“, „Kammerspiele“, „Städtische Bühnen Düsseldorf“ usw.) - 470 posters from the period 1930 to 1952
The remaining part of the collection offers a cross-section of posters in the field of culture and administration of the city of Düsseldorf (calls, concerts, lectures, tourism, carnival, etc.) from 1930 to 1970.
The posters are currently listed in the search portal. Use is possible by ordering in the online catalog and takes place in the "Sonderlesesaal" (Special Reading Room). Posters that are already searchable in the Digital Collections can be viewed digitally at the Electronic Reading Station in the Special Reading Room.
